With US is a social media-driven visibility campaign that showcases a diverse cast of Drag Entertainers and Trans folks in Michigan whose contributions to the local and greater LGBTQIA+ community through their own brand of public manifestation and habitual perpetuation align with the mission and purpose of The Motor City Sisters.
The importance of this type of campaign is to be a protest that contrasts the hatred and stigma being portrayed in mainstream conservative media, aimed at painting drag entertainers and transgender folks as morally corrupt and harmful to society.
The intent is to show the past, present, and sustained contributions by members of the greater Michigan community who have fallen even further under attack by the mainstream conservative media’s smear campaign; to promote equality and inclusion within the greater LGBTQIA+ community, and to continue dismantling the stigma being promoted by conservative, religious “right” propaganda efforts.
